Matt Bacak, self appointed ezine marketing guru, sheds some light on the use of “Power Squeeze” sites. What’s a “Power Squeeze” site? They are special websites with the sole purpose of having searchers sign up for you newsletter. Sounds like spam techniques to me.

Certainly uses spam-oriented language. Either he's promoting something underhanded or deceptive, or he's written an entire press release promoting the widely employed and very basic idea of event/service specific websites. Of course, his example (Unlimited-Leads.com), gives the user no information about whose list they're joining, so it suggests something more underhanded.
