Eric Lander (@ericlander) noted that one of his Twitter posts that contained some explicit words within it had suddenly disappeared from his Twitter stream. It looks like Twitter has some kind of curse word filter. The orginial post can be found here. While still an active status page, it is not being displayed in his current Twitter stream.

Twitter Censoring Posts?
Eric Lander (@ericlander) noted that one of his Twitter posts that contained some explicit words within it had suddenly disappeared from his Twitter stream. I just started using it today. At first I loved it. But, now I see that every time I update with news commentary (nothing offensive or rude) it mysteriously disappears. Other comments stay. But, I can't get news updates to last past 30 minutes...I am TICKED!
ReplyDeleteTwitter has censored several of mine. Nothing vulgar just negatives 'bout Obama. I don't trust twitter anymore.
